Eventually, all the family established businesses. Anna and Laura
owned their dressmakers' shop, and Eugenia ran a dry goods store
on Pocasset Avenue near the Johnston city line. By 1910, Salvatore
Tirocchi had begun a cement-block manufacturing business, and by
the 1920s, the sons of his brother Tito had each done the same.
Other Tirocchi businesses included contracting, trucking, a laundry,
and, eventually, a real estate firm and several gasoline stations.
Anna Tirocchi herself owned rental property and an interest in a
gasoline station in addition to the house and shop at 514 Broadway.
